  • How does the app work on farms that don’t have an internet connection?
    Farm Monitor mobile app is built intentionally for scenarios like this, in farms without internet connection, the data inputted is stored offline and synced to our servers as soon as the device gets to a location with an internet connection.
  • Farm Monitor has many features, do I have to pay for each feature independently?
    No, you pay for a subscription plan to get all features that are covered in that subscription package. No other hidden charges.
  • How does Farm Monitor get its satellite images and what resolution?
    We partner with satellite feed providers from Sentinel 1 and Sentinel 2 with backdated image storage from 1999 to date with a spatial resolution of 10 meters, 20 meters, and 60 meters, depending on the specific spectral bands
  • How regularly can I get new satellite images of my farm?
    Snapshots are taken and processed every 5 days. However overcloudy images are discarded for efficiency of data reading.
  • How does Farm Monitor calculate the productivity estimate of farms?
    We use a combination of analyzed satellite images, Artificial intelligence and trained data gotten from over 10 years of farming in Nigeria to calculate productivity estimates.
  • How does Farm Monitor store my farm data?
    We maintain a secure server setup with backup systems for added reliability.
  • Can Farm monitor be used for fish and livestock farming?
    No. At the moment, farm monitor is for crop production.
  • Does the Farm Monitor give meteorological data like rainfall?
    Yes, Farm Monitor gives meteorological data. But even more interestingly, this data is integrated with soil, satellite and farm activity data in an AI model to give recommendations to the farmer
  • Can Farm Monitor be used for dry season farms that require irrigation?
    Yes. Farm Monitor creates a special dry season calendar that schedules the days when irrigation should be done.
  • Can I use farm Monitor in other languages?
    Farm Monitor can also be used in Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and French.
  • Can I use Farm Monitor without internet access?
    Certainly! The Farm Monitor Mobile app allows you to gather farm data in locations without internet access and synchronize it later when you're back online.

With our innovative FARM MONITOR web Portal and mobile App, all the financier, investors and lenders have to do is login and follow activities, expenses, lessons learnt and work done by smallholder farmers.
